Overview

Newsletters keeps the selected client’s issues in one library. Complete sender details, bring existing subscribers with their original opt-in records, then write an issue in Chat, review Preview and approve the send. Results shows the outcome. A Client Admin can also allow scheduled agents to send finished newsletters without asking.

How to use this page

  1. Open Newsletters

If you work across clients, choose the client in the sidebar first. Open Agents, then Newsletters. The table lists that client's newsletters, most recently updated first.

  2. Review the library

Each row shows the Name (the subject), Status (Draft, Approved, Sending, Sent or Failed), Recipients, Updated date (in your own time zone) and Open. Recipients shows the saved recipient count for an unsent issue, or how many were sent and failed once it goes out. Select a name or Open to work on it. On a phone, each newsletter shows as a card.

  3. Complete sender details

Under Set up your newsletter, open Sender details. Check Sender name, Reply email and Business postal address, then select Save sender details and wait for confirmation. Your business name is shown as the sender, using the displayed SalesHive From address; replies go to Reply email. Your postal address and an unsubscribe link appear in each newsletter. No separate newsletter account or mailbox connection is needed. Sending from your own domain is not available here. If the sending service is unavailable, ask your SalesHive team to finish setup.

  4. Preview and import existing subscribers

Open Bring your existing subscribers. First add any missing people to Contacts. Select Download CSV header and prepare email,status,opted_in_at,consent_text columns. Use subscribed status, each original opt-in timestamp with its time zone, and the exact consent wording. Files support up to 10,000 rows and 2 MB. Enter Subscriber source, choose Subscriber CSV and select Preview subscriber import. Review new records and the excluded, duplicate, unmatched, ambiguous, inactive, previously withdrawn and already-recorded counts. Confirm that the file is an existing subscribed list with original evidence, then select Import for the displayed number of subscription records. Wait for confirmation. This records permission for matching contacts only; it creates no contacts and sends nothing. Unsubscribes, blocks and delivery checks still apply.

  5. Start a new newsletter

Select New newsletter. Enter a Name and, in Topic and audience, describe what the issue should cover and who it is for. Select Create newsletter. It is created as a draft and opens on Chat, where your agent reads your brief and writes the subject and body. Nothing is sent until it is approved.

  6. Check the preview

Open Preview to check the subject, From name and address, Replies address, current audience count and newsletter body. Complete newsletter setup before sending if prompted. If content is missing, open Chat and ask your agent to write it. After changes, check Preview again before approving.

  7. Approve and send

When the preview is right, tell your agent in Chat that you approve sending it. Your agent sends only after you approve the exact preview in that chat. To see it in your own inbox first, ask for a test and give the address to send it to.

  8. Check the results

Open Results on a sent newsletter to see its Status, how many were Sent out of the total, how many Failed, when it was sent (in GMT), who approved it and any problem recorded. An unsent newsletter says it has not been sent yet.

  9. Choose whether agents may send without asking (Client Admin)

In the library, tick Let agents send newsletters without asking to let the client's scheduled agents send a finished newsletter to its saved audience, at most once every 6 days. Leave it unticked and agents only write drafts; a person approves each newsletter in Chat. It saves as soon as you click. Other users see the setting but cannot change it.

What the buttons do

New newsletter / Create newsletter
Opens the form with Name and Topic and audience, then creates the draft and opens its Chat. Cancel closes the form.
Let agents send newsletters without asking
Off by default. When ticked, the client's scheduled agents may send a finished newsletter to its saved audience, at most once every 6 days. Live chats still ask for approval of each send. Only a Client Admin can change it.
Name / Open
Opens the newsletter on Preview. Newsletters saved as private drafts on the Newsletter audience page open there instead.
Newsletters (back link)
In an open newsletter, returns to the library.
Chat / Preview / Results
The three sections of an open newsletter: work with your agent, see the newsletter and its audience size, and see the send outcome. On a phone, choose them from the section menu.
Sender details / Save sender details
Check and save the sender name, reply email and business postal address. The From address is supplied by SalesHive.
Refresh (newsletter setup)
Reloads saved sender details and the current eligible-subscriber count.
Bring your existing subscribers / Download CSV header
Opens the evidence-based subscriber import and downloads its four-column CSV header.
Preview subscriber import / Import subscription records

See all audience exclusions
Opens Newsletter audience to review eligibility and exclusion totals.

Common questions

A Client Admin for the selected client, or an authorized SalesHive administrator. Other users with access to the page can open and read newsletters.
No. A new newsletter is a draft. It goes out only when someone approves the exact preview in Chat, or when the Let agents send newsletters without asking setting is on and a scheduled agent sends a finished issue.
At most once every 6 days, and only with a subject and body written. If the setting is off, a scheduled agent leaves the newsletter as a draft for review.
Only you. Your editing conversation is private to you and saved in Projects. The newsletter itself, its preview and results are shared.
Drafts saved privately on the Newsletter audience page keep using that page, so Open takes you there.
If you're signed in but your account can't open the selected client, the page now says "You don't have access to this client's newsletters." instead of sending you to the login page. Choose a client you work with in the client switcher, or ask your SalesHive team for access. SalesHive team members can open a client here when they have access to the Platform Agents page or are that client's Strategist.
No. The import records original opt-in evidence for a unique matching contact. Prior withdrawals stay excluded, and unsubscribe, block, spam and delivery checks still apply. A cold outreach list or an earlier email send alone does not establish newsletter permission.
Read the error. Refresh before retrying a sender save. For an uncertain import, preview the same file and source again to check whether it already completed; an already-imported file does not repeat its records. If contacts or consent changed, review a new preview before importing.
